Lower 5

The lower section of E.R. 5 in the Whitehorn Back Bowls; divided from Upper ER 5 by a massive cliff. M.G. Gully (skier’s left) is a tree-filled chute with a mandatory drop exit; accessed from Saddleback/Split Rock via high traverse above Kiddies’ Corner. ER 5 is a patrol “problem child”; avalanches funnel through cliff chokes. Access via the Paradise Chair and The Corridor. See Eagle Ridge and Frontside Chutes.
