Lake Lindsey Way

Black Diamond Front Side

The Ladies’ World Cup Downhill (Run #7), formerly Ladies Downhill. The women first raced at Lake Louise in 1989; Bernhard Russi influenced the course design; a modified version of the men’s track with a lower start and different gate placements. Renamed in honour of Lindsey Vonn; who recorded 18 of her 82 World Cup victories at the resort, the most at any single venue by any skier. The resort was colloquially known as “Lake Lindsey” for over a decade. Start 2,475 m; finish 1,680 m; vertical drop 795 m. See Lake Louise Run Names for full history.
