Eagle Poma
Advanced run (Run #53) in the Eagle zone, named for the former Eagle Poma surface lift that served the Upper Grouse (then “Upper Shoot the Muscle”) area. The Poma followed the natural fall line of the ridge; surface lifts dictated a slower, more rhythmic, physically demanding ascent. Upper Grouse sits in proximity to the old Eagle Poma line; the run’s origins as an expert-only zone that required effort to reach and master. The Eagle Poma was a key access point for the “STM” (Shoot the Muscle) corridor before high-speed quads and six-packs increased laps per hour. Part of the Eagle patrol area.
