Paradise Bowl

Built 1982

The Paradise Triple, opened in 1982, was the first Yan lift at Lake Louise and the inaugural lift on the backside (Paradise Bowl); revolutionizing access by allowing skiers to lap the bowls without long traverses to the front side. A double-section lift (lower green towers in trees, upper white towers above treeline) with classic 1980s Yan design: bottom drive, top fixed return, hydraulic bottom tensioning, 13 towers, 144 chairs, 475 ft/min speed, and 1,820 passengers/hour capacity.

It remains the sole surviving Yan lift at the resort. Leitner-Poma performed sheave replacements on Tower 10 in 2015. Serves the Paradise side of the Front Side.
