Louise Creek

Lake Louise

A creek flowing from Lake Louise down to the Bow River in Banff National Park. The creek carries meltwater from the Victoria Glacier and other glaciers of the Plain of Six Glaciers basin; including the rock flour that gives Lake Louise its turquoise colour.

The Louise Creek Trail (2.8 km) follows the creek through subalpine forest from the lake to the Bow River, offering an interpretive walk through the hydrology of the Lake Louise valley. The creek is part of the upper Bow River drainage system.
